ENKIANTHUS campanulatus

A North East Asian shrub. If you have neutral to acid soil then you must plant Enkianthus. Most gardeners plant it for the vivid reds and oranges in autumn but the nodding cream bell flowers are frilled with red/pink in spring or early summer. Excellent with Rhododendrons. Prefers sun or semi shade.
