A terrestrial orchid. From a basal rosette of narrow leaves arise stems carrying fragrant, white tubular chubby flowers, waxen in texture, arranged spirally around the upper half of the stem, August to September. Needs humus-rich, moisture retentive soil in part shade. 50cm tall.
